Director, Research, Policy and Practice, Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC)
Shannon Kindornay has worked at the research-policy nexus in international development for ten years. Prior to joining CCIC, she built a successful independent consultancy business dedicated to meeting the research and policy analysis needs of Canadian and global civil society organizations, as well as international institutions such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
Shannon is also an Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University’s Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and previously worked as a Senior Analyst for the Canadian International Development Platform.
Shannon began her career as a researcher at the North-South Institute (NSI). During her time at NSI, Shannon led the development of the organization’s portfolio on the role of the private sector in development, managed policy-oriented research partnerships with organizations in Canada and around the world, and produced numerous reports, peer reviewed publications and commentaries on a range of policy issues. Shannon holds degrees from Carleton University and Wilfrid Laurier University.
Shannon Kindornay a travaillé pendant dix ans au sein du « nexus recherche-politique » en développement international. Avant de se joindre au CCCI, elle a bâti une entreprise de consultation indépendante consacrée à répondre aux besoins de recherche et d’analyse des politiques de la société civile canadienne et internationale, et des institutions internationales, telles que l’Organisation de Coopération et de Développement Économiques.
Shannon est également professeure auxiliaire de recherche à la Norman Paterson School of International Affairs de la Carleton University et a précédemment occupé le poste d’analyste principale pour la Canadian International Development Platform.
Shannon a commencé sa carrière en tant que chercheuse à l’Institut Nord-Sud (INS). Pendant son séjour à l’INS, Shannon a mené l’élaboration du portfolio relatif au rôle du secteur privé dans le développement, a géré des partenariats de recherche orientés sur les politiques avec des organisations au Canada et dans le monde, et a produit de nombreux rapports, publications révisées par des pairs et commentaires sur un éventail d’enjeux politiques. Shannon est diplômée de la Carleton University et de la Wilfrid Laurier University.
