Andréanne Martel

Director,Spur Change Program - Inter-Council Network (ICN)

Andréanne Martel is the Director of the Spur Change Program for the Inter-Council Network (ICN), a coalition of the eight Provincial and Regional Councils for International Cooperation in Canada. Since January 2017, Andréanne is the lead of the Next Generation: Collaboration for Development program, a joint initiative between the Canadian Council for International Co-operation (CCIC) and the Canadian Association for the Study of International Development (CASID) aiming to foster better collaboration between practitioners and academics in the Canadian global development sector. Prior to joining CCIC, she held a Research Award position in the Policy and Evaluation Division at the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). Previously, Andréanne was the coordinator of a research centre on international development at the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM), where she was in charge of an international network working on natural resources (REINVENTERRA), which brings together researchers from academic institutions and actors from civil society organizations (CSOs) from three regions (West Africa, South-East Asia, and Latin America). Andréanne holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from UQAM.


Andréanne Martel est directrice du programme « Activer le changement » du Réseau inter-conseils (RIC), une coalition des huit conseils provinciaux et régionaux pour la coopération internationale au Canada. Depuis janvier 2017, Andréanne dirige Prochaine Génération – Collaboration pour le développement est un programme conjoint du Conseil canadien pour la coopération internationale (CCCI) et de l’Association canadienne pour l’étude du développement international (ACÉDI) visant à favoriser une meilleure collaboration entre praticiens et universitaires dans le secteur canadien du développement mondial. Avant de se joindre au CCCI, elle a occupé un poste de boursière de recherche à la Division des politiques et de l’évaluation du Centre de recherches pour le développement international (CRDI). Auparavant, Andréanne a été coordonnatrice d’un centre de recherche sur le développement international à l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), où elle était responsable d’un réseau international sur les ressources naturelles (REINVENTERRA), qui regroupe des chercheurs d’établissements universitaires et des acteurs d’organisations de la société civile provenant de trois régions (Afrique occidentale, Asie du Sud-Est et Amérique latine). Andréanne détient une maîtrise en sciences politiques de l’UQAM.
