Anamaria Barbul

Anamaria Barbul is a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa, majoring in International Development and Globalization. Thoroughly passionate about development both locally and globally, she has a strong interest in the determinants of poverty, environmental sustainability, and learning about alternative approaches to development.

Anamaria is actively involved in heightening her knowledge of development initiatives. Outside of the classroom, she does this through her position as Vice President of Internal Affairs on the executive committee of the Development Students’ Association. She has also held roles as the 2017-2018 Halton Catholic District School Board and Co-Chair of the Ontario Student Voice Awards, an annual scholarship given to five secondary school graduates. Following her post-secondary education, Anamaria hopes to pursue a career in international law.
