Director – Government Relations, Action Canada
As Director of Government Relations, Sarah leads Action Canada’s engagement with government bodies and officials and campaigning aimed at advancing sexual and reproductive rights in Canada’s foreign and domestic laws, policies and programmes. For the past 7 years, Sarah has supported the work of the Canadian Association of Parliamentarians on Population and Development, for which Action Canada is the Secretariat. Sarah has extensive experience with international human rights accountability mechanisms, leading organizational and coalition work to hold the federal government accountable for meeting its human rights obligations, as they relate to sexual and reproductive rights. Sarah has held positions with the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights, Global Affairs Canada, and Employment and Social Development Canada. Sarah holds a Masters’ degree in International Development, Globalization and Women’s Studies.
