Joanna Dafoe

National Director of Climate, Insurance Bureau of Canada

Joanna Dafoe is the National Director of Climate Change with the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Canada’s industry association representing private home, auto, and business insurers. In her role at IBC, Joanna leads efforts to advance climate leadership priorities on sustainable finance and natural infrastructure. Prior to working at IBC, Joanna served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Ambassador for Climate Change for the Federal Government. During her time at Environment and Climate Change Canada Joanna also served as the senior policy advisor leading on sustainable finance for the G7 Task Team.
