Chúk Odenigbo
Co-founder, The Poison and The Apple
Chúk Odenigbo is incredibly passionate about the links between public health and the environment. He is the co-founder of La Poison et la Pomme / The Poison and The Apple, a non-profit organization that encourages Canadians to discover their personal way of getting closer to and connecting with nature. He is also a doctoral student at the University of Ottawa in medical geography.
Having a particularly varied professional background, Chúk worked with the Canadian Parks Council to write “Let’s Go Play in Nature”, an action plan to encourage all Canadians to take action to put the new generation in contact with Nature and proposing ways to do it. He moderated a panel and gave a speech on youth engagement and leadership at the Summit of Champions of Nature, ranked among the Top 30 Change Makers under 30, named one of the Top 10 Youth Franco-Albertan leaders by Radio-Canada, and was part of the first cohort of Ocean Portal, a group of young Canadians leading ocean health and awareness projects in Canada.

Il est cofondateur de La Poison et La Pomme/The Poison and The Apple, un organisme sans but lucratif qui encourage les Canadien.ne.s à découvrir leur façon personnelle de se rapprocher de la nature et de s’y connecter. Il est également doctorant à l’Université d’Ottawa en géographie médicale.
Ayant un parcours professionnel particulièrement varié, Chúk a travaillé avec le Conseil canadien des parcs afin d’écrire « Sortons jouer dans la Nature », un plan d’action visant à inciter l’ensemble de la population canadienne à agir pour mettre la nouvelle génération en contact avec la Nature et proposant des moyens pour le faire. Il a animé un panel et donné un discours sur l’engagement et le leadership de la jeunesse au Sommet des champions de la nature, été classé parmi les 30 meilleurs acteurs du changement ayant moins de 30 ans, nommé l’un des Top 10 jeunes leaders franco-albertains par Radio-Canada, et faisait partie de la première cohorte de Portail océan, un groupe de jeunes Canadien.ne.s menant des projets de santé et de sensibilisation océaniques au Canada.
