Canada’s ability to deliver on bold global commitments will depend on the ability of girls and boys living in the world’s most fragile places to thrive and realize their rights. This session will contrast experiences in fragile contexts through an interactive series of perspectives from children, academia and development professionals. The session will also include a practical workshop to unpack the most pressing barriers and solutions to advancing the rights of the most vulnerable girls and boys at the nexus of humanitarian, peace and development efforts. It will culminate in recommendations for Canada’s foreign and development policy as it relates to gender transformative investment, global leadership and programming in fragile contexts.
