Humanitarian Program Manager, Action contre la Faim / Action Against Hunger
Stacey Sawchuk is the Humanitarian Program Manager at Action Against Hunger Canada taking action against the causes and effects of hunger including Gender-Based Violence in conflict, natural disaster, and chronic food insecurity environments. Stacey has worked in the Asia-Pacific region for the last 10 years with national and international non-government organizations and the UNDP managing programs on women-led Disaster Risk Reduction, Women’s Resilience and Community-based Climate Change Adaptation. She facilitated the establishment of the Pacific ‘Shifting the Power Coalition’ to support women to lead emergency response and take power back into their own hands – ensuring disaster response addresses women’s needs. She has a B.A. from McGill University and Master of International Development and Environmental Analysis from Monash University, Australia.
