In support and advance of the Summit on Canada’s Global Leadership, a group of Canadian foreign policy thought leaders created a short Vision Statement for an ambitious and impactful Canadian foreign policy agenda. This paper was prepared through a consultative process engaging a diverse and representative advisory committee representing all facets of Canada’s international engagement. 

The Vision Statement will be formally launched at the Summit. Through sessions and discussions at the Summit, participants will feed a separate expanded annex inspired by the Vision Statement. It is also hoped that the Vision Statement will help lay the basis for additional policy work within diplomacy, development, trade, and security sectors in the months to come.
