Beth Woroniuk

Policy Lead, The Match International Women’s Fund and Coordinator of the Women, Peace and Security Network-Canada

Beth Woroniuk is currently the Policy Lead at The MATCH International Women’s Fund. She also coordinates the Women, Peace and Security Network-Canada, monitoring the Canadian government’s implementation of the women, peace and security (WPS) agenda.

For more than 25 years, Beth has advised and worked with bilateral aid agencies, UN entities and NGOs, strengthening their work on gender equality and women’s rights in numerous countries (including Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Honduras, and Bolivia – as well as 4 years in Nicaragua). She has developed analytical tools, supported policy development, designed training, provided technical support, and conducted evaluations.

Beth has also carried out research, blogged, lobbied, testified before Parliament, and led initiatives on WPS. She is currently on the Steering Committee of the NATO Civil Society Advisory Panel on Women, Peace and Security. Beth has degrees from the University of Saskatchewan and the University of Toronto.
